Longines Wittnauer  dress watch from 1947 with a solid 14K gold rectangular case by Wadsworth, diamond-set silver dial, small seconds display and the highly regarded Longines Calibre 9L.

The silver-tone dial features a vertical brushed finish and is set throughout with diamond hour markers, including a distinctive vertical diamond cluster at 12 o'clock. With no numerals, the clean layout relies on the diamonds and minute track for definition, while blued hands add a subtle contrast. A small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock completes the refined period design.

Measuring 23 × 36.8 mm, the rectangular solid 14K gold case was made by Wadsworth, one of the respected American case manufacturers of the period. The case features angled stepped lugs and measures 10 mm thick, giving the watch its distinctive long and architectural profile. The caseback is signed Longines-Wittnauer Watch Co. Inc. for the USA market, with case number T753891.
