Longines vintage dress watch from 1951 with an oversized 38 mm stainless steel case, professionally restored black dial, subsidiary seconds display and the renowned hand-wound Calibre 12.68Z.

The gloss black dial has been professionally restored in the correct period style, featuring cream Arabic numerals from 1 to 12 and a white railroad minute track. White lance-style hands provide a strong contrast against the dark dial, while a recessed subsidiary seconds register at 6 o'clock with a 30/45/60 scale completes the classic layout. The combination of black, white and cream gives the watch a clean and highly legible character.

Measuring 38 mm in diameter, the stainless steel case is unusually large for an early 1950s dress watch, giving it a notably contemporary wrist presence. The classic round profile is complemented by straight lugs and a snap-on stainless steel case back marked ACIER INOX. The inner case back also carries the case maker's stamp alongside the Longines winged hourglass emblem.

Inside is the Longines Calibre 12.68Z, a Swiss hand-wound mechanical movement produced from 1938 onward. The movement features 17 jewels, operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour and provides approximately 40 hours of power reserve. Its screwed chatons, with each jewel set in its own threaded brass sleeve, are a distinctive detail of Longines finishing. Movement serial number 8491228 dates production to 1951.
