Virat Kohli - A Legend In The Making
133* vs Sri Lanka, CB Series 2012
One of the best innings by Virat came on 28th February 2012 at Hobart. With India needing to chase down 320 in 40 overs to give themselves a chance at reaching the finals of the tri-series in Australia, Virat Kohli's inning helped India chase it down in just under 37 overs! The innings will always be remembered for the way he thrashed Lasith Malinga, arguably the best death bowler at the time, to all corners of the ground. He went on to score a magnificent 133 off just 86 balls with 16 fours and 2 sixes.
Century in both innings (115 and 144) at Adelaide 2014
When it comes down to chasing totals, nobody does it better than Virat Kohli! Australia setup a massive target of 364 but India lost two wickets at just 57 runs. Virat then along with Murali Vijay recorded 185 runs for the 3rd wicket to got his team close to the target. Unfortunately for India, he got out when India needed 60 more to win the test match, which could have been one of the best chases by an Indian team in history. Tail-enders could add just 11 more runs before succumbing and India lost a test match.
